Yes, but maybe not as severe. Although, I can play more graphic intensive games like baldurs gate 3 without lag issues and doing the same stuff in the background. I think Coral Island would be able to run on the same computer

I see! If you play the game while turning on the FPS counter, can you tell us how many FPS it is when the stuttering/lagging issue occurs? 😮

You can turn on the FPS counter by opening Steam (top left screen) > Settings > In-Game and make sure Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game is turned on. Chang the In-game FPS counter into “top-right” and enable the In-game FPS counter high contrast

Hay, I have the same issues with the stuttering, but it's like for months or years now. Played the game also in early access and had issues there and hoped that it will be better after full release, but it got worse in the last updates. For me it works better if I close the game after each day and wait until everything is cooled down, but it gets again worse the longer the ingame day is. Looks the same like in the videos.

What I also tested is to let the game only concentrate on GPU1 but it helped not that much.

I will test the FPS Counter next time I play and will update you on that.

Also playing on lowest graphics doesn't help

I’ve been having this same issue but less extreme since 1.0’s release it makes the game really hard to play. I’ve reported it at least 5 times along with my specs.
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: Nvidia 3070
Ram 16GB
Graphics attempted: all settings
I clean installed, verified files, and moved it to my HHD but nothing seemed to fix it.
No other apps open while running the game.

Same, with every update and bug fix it takes really long and longer to load. Maybe the game is not being optimised.. I have 16GB of DDR4 and a 3050Ti

The same happened to me after the update. In low settings the character gets really low fps, and I get extremely motion sickness, and in max quality the character have the same fps, but it's also very blurry, as if using a video transition where the pictures slightly merge. It looks similar to the video above, just more extreme.

I had the same issue!

My computers graphics card IS dying i have to replace it but when I played on my boyfriends laptop (gaming laptop, not sure of the specs.) I experience quite a bit of lagging and stuttering after this recent patch.

There is also noticable more lag and rubberbanding since the Steam version 1.1-1225 (current v1.1-1226 too)

If I had to make a guess, I'd say it has something to do with farm animals.

I played my first Ingame year with crops only and started to get into farm animal in year 2. Thats when the lag started to grow.

I'm currently in fall winter of year 2 with two full barns and also two full coops and it's getting quite spicy on the frames sometimes.

Lag is mostly noticable when

• game is saving over night
• I leave the house to start the day
• returning to the farm at end of the day

The game is experiencing a lot of stuttering on both my PC and PS5. Initially, I bought the game on Steam, but after just a few minutes of gameplay, I noticed it was full of stuttering issues. My setup is a Ryzen 9 5900X, 32 GB of RAM, and a 12 GB RTX 3060.

After seeing these issues on PC, I decided to buy the PS5 version, hoping it would run smoothly. Unfortunately, I was wrong—the game is also plagued by stuttering on the PS5.

On PC, I understand that optimizing for all the different hardware combinations is challenging. But on a console, where everyone has the same hardware, this is really strange. It makes me wonder if you’re properly testing the game before releasing it… 🤔

@knotty vine I suspect that the game is loading all the assets of an area at once, which overwhelms the engine and causes the terrible stuttering. A suggestion for the developers to fix this would be to implement progressive loading, where a specific number of assets are loaded at regular time intervals. For instance, if an area has 500 assets, loading 10 assets every 33 ms would allow everything to be loaded smoothly in about 50 frames, without the player noticing any interruptions. Something along these lines could significantly improve the experience.

Additionally, if they are using UGameplayStatics::LoadStreamLevel, it would be worth checking the bShouldBlockOnLoad parameter. If it is set to true, this could be one of the causes of the problem.

I've watched the videos that you sent above, and yes we can confirm that the stuttering that you're experiencing is the result of the assets loading.
