I'm unable to trigger the mermaid tail quest. I healed the tree but nothing is happening

you would get a letter from cho oyu, the next day, or after

from there you will get the quest

I have the same issue, and it’s been at least a season in game since the tree was healed.

I got it after I went to the tree and triggered that cut scene
