PC: Chest disappeared after moving nearby farm building

I had a chest next to my windmill in the right corner closest to the screen and then paid to move my windmill somewhere else on the farm. The next day, the windmill is successfully moved but the chest next to it is gone along with all the stuff it contained.

I'm playing on PC and the windmill with the chest was somewhere around where my character and cursor are in this screen shot

The chest was in this spot on the windmill where my cursor is pointing when it was in the other location
