cranky chicken?

Is it normal for my chicken to be cranky regularly?

I've only had him for like a week but I think I've only seen it say he is happy once.

I've been talking to him every day and all the hay slots are filled, but ai still let him out. Currently summer BTW.

I mean his name is Pecna the Archchick so cranky is on brand but I still want him to be happy.

I believe if you let them out when it's raining, they aren't too happy, either.
