Hi! I've really been enjoying Coral Island so far, and I'm almost at the end of yr 1 in-game, but I really wanted to try the new beta/early hotfixes (also to buy the game straight up).
Do you know if its possible to transfer my save from PC Gamepass to Steam? Like, could I just copy the files over? Or would I have to start all over?
(Ik I would probably have to start over if I played the beta branch vers anyway but still) Thanks!

Files almost always end up corrupted if you move them from GP to steam- however we have free files for you to trigger NG+ and pick your starting funds instead
aw thats unfortunate :(
Is NG+ very different from the base? It'd suck to start over but tbh now that ik what I'm doing I might be a little quicker on progress lol
Ng+ is day 1 year 1 BUT you have more money
New game+ is what it stands for
steam is better anyways
ye! I wasnt sure if there was anything else unlocked with new game + or not, in a lot of other games some things are already unlocked/harder than the standard
I wish but no 😦
tru tru which is another reason why I wanna switch to steam lmao I have most of my games there
good to know tho! That way I wont have to worry about being further ahead than I normally was, but I can get a headstart on cash :)
In my opinion- based on how Microsoft handled EA and handled 1.0- you're better off on steam. There's hands down, no comparison. You don't have to wait for fixed- or anything. It just drops. And it'd almost always more stable

If you decide to join the dark side. You'll have to scroll up to the top
And note- if you've never played it on steam- you'll have to load into a game to create the save folder first. Then follow other instructions in the post
oh yeah for sure, only reason I hadnt gotten it there first was cuz it was "free" on gamepass- I knew I'd like it either way tho I've been excited since I spotted the kickstarted a day or two after it ended, so I unfortunately wasnt able to back it :(
good to know, thank you! :D
