fruit quality

So I’ve upgraded my seedling to osmium quality on Ling’s lab. But what does my fruit tree from a seedling is always in silver or gold quality? This doesn’t happen to the sapling upgrade or other upgrades. Only the seedling fruits are doing this. Any help or tips on what I could do?

Upgrading does not guarantee osmium level harvests. There is still an element of random chance to it.

Hello, i know it doesn't guarantee that all of the fruits would be in osmium quality. I know this from the crops and sapling. But the thing is, i've never gotten an osmium quality even once from a seedling fruit tree. Always in gold and silver. And i've gone through 2 seasons in game like that. Is that still normal? I assume I would've at least gotten an osmium one at least once or what but it never did.

Hmm. To be honest, I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, but you may need to use fertiliser? I can't recall if they work with the fruit plants or not, I could be entirely off the mark (for which I apologise if I am). Are you planting just a couple or are you doing a lot at a time?

I would say I planted quite a lot. There are currently 12 of them in my farm if I'm not wrong.

Right. I've done a quick search of the discord, and from what I'm seeing fruit plants should work with fertiliser, and that it does affect quality, but I can't guarantee it since I've not got a full scope of things. So I'd suggest next time you plant some, set up a control variable - have about half of them fertilised, half of them not, see if it makes a difference on the fertilised ones.

Or just take me at my word even if I'm entirely wrong 😂 Someone else who has more know-how than me might chime in later, but that's what I've found for now.
