Please don’t respond if you’re going to be rude this is a genuine question with no intention of being malicious. It’s genuinely concerning that they are radio silent about the criticism on Steam but are responding to crash reports to a pinned topic about their crashes and not to the April Dev Diary where people are truly upset about the seemingly misleading release date. I’m not accusing anyone of anything but there seems to be a significant number of people who feel betrayed and this game is one of a kind and truly amazing. I would have for a miscommunication or avoidance to hurt their good reputation. Again, please no hate, this is coming from a good place.
#Are the devs going to respond to the criticism mounting on Steam?

While I can understand the grievances of people who are genuinely misinformed, the fact of the matter is that there was no misleading release date. The April dev blog was discussing 1.1 content; the same is true of the discussions of the content on other social media. But anyone who saw the release date will also have seen this sentence:
I cannot speak for the developers, because I'm not affiliated with them. But this is the only mention of the release date in an official context. It was made very clear, in the same sentence that mentioned May 20th, that it would be the beta that would be coming out, not the update.
