I started a new game on PC and was on Spring 3 where I was cleaning up trash and found a coffer, I got the new game "what is a coffer" notification and now my character is stuck in the cleaning up trash motion. The time kept moving past 11:30, the rain is still falling, and the character is still swaying back and forth but I cannot do anything except move change the item in my hand.

Update - I waited till 2am for the character to faint and he is still stuck

You can try to reload the game for a temporary fix to this issue 🙂
Can you also share your save file and backups so our teams can check it?
You can open the folder/Windows Explorer and copy-paste this file path: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames. Zip it into one file, then send it to us 😉

I restarted the game and it fixed with Spring 4
