I started a new save file last weekend, and I'm noticing that sometimes when I try to craft something, the game treats me as not having some of the needed resources unless they're directly inventory. They're in a chest in front of my house, but I have to go get them and be carrying them, or the game won't let me make things. It's not all required items, just a few.
For a dehydrator, I had to have the glass and silver kelp essence in my inventory. For a mason jar, it was the glass. For a sprinkler, it was both types of kelp. There might be more, but those are what I've noticed so far.
