I have placed several bug traps throughout the city. At the animal festival they also shew. Only problem was during the pet race - my pet got stuck because it ran against it. I could lead it around. But in every round one of the NPC contestants just stopped when they reaced a trap and never reached the goal. After the 120 seconds the countdown/round was over though gladly.
