Yes-with a caveat, because of the quality increasing ability of the aging barrels, you can only put multiples if they are all the same quality, so you could put up to three gold quality cheese wheels in one, but not a gold, silver, and normal quality cheese wheel

It started doing that in a random hot fix in 1.0, it caused the aging barrel no quality bug and people thought it was a bug but the devs said it wasn't
