Chest content quantity doubled after first house upgrade

Hello, I am facing an issue (that is quite beneficial for me :P). I don't know how to reproduce exactly but it seems that the day after my house was done upgrading the contents of my chests were duplicated in quantity.
For example : I now own two milk buckets instead of one, two scissors instead of one and so on.
All of my chests contents were duplicated
I'm french so sorry for the language error and for the missing translations !
Thanks for your hard work, so far I really enjoy the game and the nice moments I get from eat each evening after work ! 🙂

Reproduction steps:

• Buy the first house upgrade from the carpenter
• Play until your house is done upgrading
• On the day your house is done upgrading, check your chest content

Repro Rate:

• I only reproduced once because this is my first play run.

I would remove the chest contents for awhile. I did the barn upgrade today. The contents duplicated a few times. Then a couple days later the chest was completely gone. All the wool I’ve been working to save is gone. Super salty about it. 😭

Hi ! Thanks for the warning
But in that case where could I put them ?
I certainly don't have enough inventory space to store them in my bag, I got at least 4 or 5 stone chests that are filled with anything
If it's true it means that I have to play something else in the mean time I guess ^^

It's a known issue that you shouldn't put chests in the barn/coops or on the outside of them. You either get a glitch that duplicates items or one that makes them disappear. I put my chest outside of my fence to avoid it.

I haven't heard of this issue in a long while so it might be that something in the code broke and brought an old bug back up again. Iirc this was a bug that happened in the .5 beta that was patched.

Ok thanks ! Are the chest in the house safe or do I have to move them outside ? 🙂

I would move them outside just incase. When it happened before chests and the wardrobe disappeared but it might not be the same bug. I know I've heard people say not to put chests against the back wall between the kitchen and room because chest can disappear when doing the upgrade for upstairs.
