No Merit Rewards at Cherry Blossom Potluck

Steam, V1.0.947
Spring Year 1: Entered a crab into the hot pot, got a "loved" reaction, but received no reward and no merit for attending festival and winning sack race (DID receive sack race rewards). Went straight to farm after loved reaction. Went to bed and checked activity log the next day -- no merit points recorded. Inventory not full.

I didn't take a screenshot BUT the next NEXT day I got merit for attending it because I got the letter explaining merit. But if I was supposed to receive a reward or extra merit for getting a delicious hot pot, THAT I didn't get (just got for attending).

I also had this problem. I only got a neutral reaction for the hotpot. I did win the sack race (got the money) but no merits from it. All I have is 40 merits for attending.
Sadly I didn't take a screenshot of me winning but I did take a screenshot of the day after, after I got the cutscene.

relating to merit points- its it intended if you do errands before merit points unlock that you dont get them? i can do a separate bug report for it if needed

I have the same issue. Attended the cherry blossom Festival on spring 10, won the sack race (and git rewards for all 5 places), spring 11 I get the cutscene with Millie explaining merit points, went to bed on spring 11 and got the 40 points for attending the cherry blossom festival, but not for winning the sack race 😦
