I picked up the mayors hat and it created a duplicate, I gave the quest item and it's still there, taking up space in my inventory. I tried restarting the game to see if it would dissappear but it's still there. HELP! 😫

I just noticed I'm still getting duplicates. It's happening inside Chests that are indoors (My Home, The Coop and Barn). It duplicates items that I can't sell or destroy. Milk Pail, The Shears, and this Mayor's Hat keeps duplicating for me aswell. I don't know what triggers it.

@unreal wolf remove any chest in coops or barns to outside your fence or a few squares away from the outside of the building to stop the duplicates. It's been a known bug for a while that has one of two outcomes. Either your items duplicate or disappear completely.

I have no idea, I checked the chests in my home and now I have 2 Connor's Quest Item Hats (Which I cannot wear one, Boo. :P)
The Barn duplicated My Shears and my Milk Pail a few times, the Blunt Sword I don't use anymore I have 2 of now. I can't get rid of them, sell them, destroy them nothing.

Your welcome. It's been known for a while but I don't know that they have been able to dupe it even though it's been reported multiple times. In a barn or coop it will happen even if you don't upgrade.

I think Connor's Hat duplicated in a chest I put in my home. Only 1 time, I think Connor's Hat gave me "2" on pick up because of my stats/perks.

Same issue, i believe I picked two up when I found it ? i only realised it once i tried to give it to him, i have chucked it in a chest for now but it annoys me al ittle 😭
