This has been reported a long time ago but it is gone from here. Is there any progress in fixing it please? It is not game breaking but it is annoying as all heck having to hit Esc twice to reset it. The mouse wheel just starts zooming in and out instead of scrolling out of the blue, usually after using chests but not exclusively. The previous bug report was called "Zoom from Chests". I had a video posted in there. Steam/PC

You mentioned it usually happened after opening the chest, can you replicate it over and over again? 😮

Oh yes all the time. It’s been reported by many and many many times. I even posted a video a while ago. I just reposted because I didn’t find it to follow up on. I have an RTX 3070

I think I narrowed it down to clicking on Quick Transfer. If I go into a chest and get out it's ok. If I go to chest and manually click something to move it in or out, it's fine. Clicking on Quick Transfer then out of the chest, zooming happens. See video. Hopefully this will help fix this.

Thank you! I hope it’s fixed, it can get pretty annoying and if it’s connected to the quick transfer…even more so since I use it a lot

I checked this with the teams, and zoom in-zoom out is actually one of our features that you can click by using the "Z" button and the "scroll" button on your mouse 🙂

Yes I know that but this issue I reported here is a bug. Zoom initiates on its own when using Quick transfer from pockets to chests. See video above. The ticket has a reported tag on it. Please this has to be fixed. It’s been a problem for months and I like quick transfer. Now I avoid using it because I have to double click ESC to cancel the zoom.

I don’t want to zoom in and out with the wheel. The wheel is for changing tools in the quick bar. If I want to zoom with the wheel I should press Z but that not what I reported here. If I open a chest and use quick transfer then exit the chest, now my wheel zooms in and out. That’s a bug. It shouldn’t do that. If I transfer items one by one this doesn’t happen so clearly it’s an issue

I just loaded the Beta branch and given the UI changed (for the better) the issue isn’t happening so if the UI stays from beta to main after beta is done, then we can consider this not an issue anymore.

Omg just figured it out. Quick Transfer is key locked to Z…the same key that initiates the zoom. That can be changed in keybinds for the zoom. Anyway, as the UI changed, and hopefully stays the way it in beta, this no longer is an issue

I changed the zoom keybind in settings and that also fixes the current 1.0 issue. It’s amazing it took us this long to get to the bottom of this.
