I can move the items around that came with the house but I've been unable to add anything new since the start of the game. I've tried from my inventory as well as the houses. I can't place the dog bed to adopt a pet and the festival is coming up soon. I'm exclusively on Xbox S and don't play on the cloud. If I'm missing anything plz let me know. I've had to start all over again because my save was deleted and don't want to move forward with this new one 'till its fixed to avoid anything else happening.

This is a known bug they are fixing. As a work around, put the item you want to place in your backpack, have it selected in your hand and then place down. Go into decoration mode to move it.

If it’s the back room of the second floor you can’t decorate that room. It becomes your spouses study when you get married.

@umbral copper yea i was, wanted that to be bedroom with main room at side of first floor to be a lounge/gaming room, have a dining area near kitchen and then a communal area in between the kids rooms.. guess i have some figuring out to do
