For the last few weeks I haven't had crashes (other than during the Animal Day which I've reported separately).
It seemed to help if, at the end of each game day, I exited the game after saving and quit completely, then reopened the game to start the next day. That kept me crash free for 3 full seasons in game.
The last few days however, regardless of me quitting and restarting at the end of each game day, it's crashing randomly. During gameplay at different times doing different things, and also at the game save point. My inconvenient but effective workaround of quit/restart on save is no longer working.
I'm back to replaying the same day 2 or 3 times and I've had enough. I'm in year 5 on the game so I've put a hell of a lot of hours in, not counting the ones where I've had to constantly redo old ground because it crashed without saving. But I can't play this anymore regardless of how much I love the game and how excited I am for upcoming drops. My game time is precious to me and I game to relax not get increasingly frustrated.
I'm sad to say but I've decided that I'm not going to spend any more time playing this until a proper fix goes in and the game is actually playable. I hope it's sorted very soon because this issue has been going on a while with no resolution and just apologies
