Hello,
I, like many others, am playing on the Xbox Series S and have experienced many crashes. I know the Dev team is working on it. Here is what information I have about crashing that might help (at least the patterns I found in my crashes).

  1. Typically happens during a blackout transition (like traveling through portals, diving to land, saving etc..)

  2. Tends to happen at the end of the day or later in the day

  3. I rarely experienced a crash at the start of my play through but the more of the game I played, the more frequent the crashing is happening.

  4. After about 2 days of in game time, I have to close and exit the software to avoid a crash

  5. Day two in game, some of the sound effects cut out. I noticed they come back if I switch the audio volume and save it but not sure if this is connected.

  6. Typically big changes in game data (I.e. diving, modifying my farm layout, etc..) seems to also cause the game to crash. I have been trying to do small things and have shorter days to avoid this issue.

  7. I have noticed the game freezing for a second or lagging and that is often indicative of a crash coming. The same things happened in Dream Light Valley.

  8. Really common when diving for a while and then going back to land.

I hope this info. help. I am worried about game data loss and the crashing every 1-2 days is getting to me so I may be taking a break until Xbox pushes those patches through.

I’m having this same issue. I’m to the point now where it crashes constantly. I’m in year 3 end of summer. I can’t make it past 2 in game days without a crash. So I keep having to replay the same day. Playtime before a crash might be an hour at this point. As much as I love the game the crashes are now the reason I’m holding off on playing further until an improvement.

I am also having the same problem, today it has already crashed 4 times, if it did it at the beginning of the day I probably wouldn't care, but when it waits until you have caught a legendary fish, or leveled up and you go to bed and BAM!! You are back to the Xbox Home Screen, I don't particularly feel like starting over yet again. I agree, I am not picking up this game again until they figure something out.

I audibly gasped as I saw my Xbox was UPDATING coral island! Xbox finally got around to something!
