Black Truffle spawns?

I have my pig at max hearts, but they always dig up White Truffles. I need the Black ones for the altar, is there a different spawn rate or something I am missing?

Black truffle is dug up when you have a low heart level with your pigs. Buying a new one will help out

If you get a new one make sure you let it out with grass and it will find one. Did you not let your original pig out before mazing out hearts with it?

I totally did let it out but i would forget i needed one for that specific altar at the time
