I set down some torches on my farm and some time later they changed to look different and now I am not sure how to remove them? They take up a square of space and I can't pass through them but otherwise they seem noninteractable. I've tried axe, pickaxe, etc. what am I missing??

this is a reported bug from the last hotfix, it will also crash your game if you try to use the architects desk to move them

Exactly what nyxlyx said. They're the old bright torches from before the latest update. They were crashing games after the update, so the dev team fixed them with a hotfix, but it left them with that new graphic, unable to be removed, and will crash your game if you touch them with the architects desk. The devs are aware of it and there is a thread open about them 😊👍
