Next Hotfix?

Is there an approximate date when a hotfix will be released so that I can talk to the NPCs again without fear of the game crashing? 😅

Best guess is about 2 weeks from the last one, but it depends entirely on platform, how difficult the bug is to fix, and how many other bugs get fixed in the meantime.

Then I'll keep my fingers crossed that we get something soon. I'd love to keep playing, but the constant crashes are really awful... 😵 Thanks for answering me 🙂

I'm having this same issue! I swear the last hotfix or the one before said something about fixing the issues. But it wasn't fixed, it was just brought to everyone

I don't quite understand how Coral Island works with patches and fixes. In the developer diary from today it says "Fixed crash when talking to some NPCs". I happily opened Steam because I thought there must be a hotfix online now. But no, nothing.

Maybe I'm stupid, but how does it all work? When will there be a patch/hotfix for us, because apparently it's already fixed according to the developer diary? Sorry for my stupid question, but I really don't get it... 😅

Developer diary is what they worked on that day. Fixing a bug doesn’t mean it’s been tested or it’s ready for release. Usually hotfixes also try to address multiple issues, so it’s unlikely they’d release one for just one bug.

Oh my... I obviously thought wrong. Ok, then I'll have to keep waiting and hope that the Hoftix comes soon... 😅

Yeah it also said "fixing" not "fixed" for the talking to npc issue. So maybe they haven't even gotten that one fixed yet on their end T_T.

Why did it have to be wakuu who crashes my game, why not someone I didn't like T_T

I'm playing the game for the very first time and also had my eye on Wakuu. 💞 Of course, it kept crashing when I was talking to him. Then I thought, never mind, I'll get to know the other residents better and have a chat with them. Then the game crashed again all the time (especially with Sam).

Ok, then I thought, never mind, carry on with the main quest and go to the village of the giants. And surprise, next crash at the chieftain... and now I'm really putting the game on ice. Because if both the social aspect of the game is limited for me and the story only progresses with danger, then unfortunately the game is currently too risky for me. 😅

Unfortunately, because I would really like to continue playing. But yeah, doesn't help.

Fingers cross the fix comes soon! Because you're right it's really risky. You can lose an entire day of progress! If you could spot save right before at least you'd be able to reload right back to where you were 😩

A new hotfix has just been dropped. Hopefully it'll fare better for you, but please have patience.
