Foraging mastery question

Hi! I'm new and I've been playing coral island for a few days and I've been trying to get my foraging level to 7. It's at 5 right now from mostly cutting down all the trees on my plot. But I've been stuck on level 5 ever since I cleared it.

Is there a way I can level it to 7 easier? I know digging through trash helps but is there anything else I can do?

Digging in the trash does not help. You do not get exp from it.

You get exp from 3 things

1. Cutting down trees (including just around the island
2. Picking up stuff on land
3. Picking up stuff under water

I didn’t know we an hit the trees outside the farm? Wow....cause I cleared my farm and running out of wood

Go chop them. They regrow each season

More trees outside. If you've unlocked that middle forest part, you can even get hardwood from the fallen trees.

I think it would be easier to improve it underwater since you'll develop your diving mastery too.

I’ve been cleaning trash for forever and no idea how to release this random one:

It's in the area to the right of the cave. You need to go north and clean that area to unlock it
