Crash when talking to Wakuu after gifting birthday gift

Reproduction steps:
Started the day in Winter 8 (Year 1). After tending my farm went straight to the observatory to give birthday gift to Wakuu. If I tried talking to him right after, the game crashes.

So it seems that you don't even have to gift, just talking to him crashes the game

Looks like I has the same issue

Steam/PC 2024-02-29

1. During Winter of the 1st year speak with Wakuu while he is on the street. I has 5 hearts of friendship with him, the last scene I saw is where he told that he disappointed that his father said that he is proud of Suki and Alice at Raja Cofee Corner.
   Instead of a dialogue line on the street the game crashes
2. Reproduced 2 times, 100% reproduction
3. 1st time were reproduced some day before 9th of winter, 1st year, can not remember more precise
   2nd time were reproduced on 11th of winter, 1st year, talked with him near fountains near Sam's General Store
