#Do updates coincide with each other?

Updates outside of Steam rely on others. Stairway can only send them the patch files, but Sony/Microsoft have to actually release them. I don't know if it's still the case, but once upon a time, they charged the devs for updates, too.
if thats the case why is there a totally seperate update for xbox console and pc gamepass?
Microsoft stopped charging devs for that about 10 years ago, probably longer
You'd have to ask Microsoft.
Though it's likely because the PC gamepass version is not quite the same as the Xbox one, as there would be options that don't make sense on console.
found out why, console is a seperate build, game pass is a month behind steam on updates/hotfixes and has had a number refused as they didn't pass MS testing
so appear even further behind than just the month
It isn't an about the charging the devs- it's an entire different process. Your question is in #❓coral-faq actually
It's a lot of testing which you said you found but yeah
During EA- Microsoft flat out just stopped pushing updates. We had a point where GP was 7 updates behind. It's awful. I don't trust them
I wonder when xbox will get the update 🤔 everyone tells me to wait until the update to play this game.
On xbox, I mean (I can’t play on PC)
Novita said they were on the last steps of testing and then would be submitting it but didnt' give a time frame (because they really can't)
so hopefully submitted to microsoft next week and then it'll be when they approve it.
so plan on 3 weeks? then if it's earlier you can be happy?
that's why i included this line cuz like- you literally cannot trust them
So, people have told me to wait to play Coral Island on console until “the update” and it makes me wonder if they are referring to the one(s) in the Roadmap in the announcements channel.
What do you all think?
I would agree with that. My friend and I both bought it as soon as it was announced as full release in November but it’s not a complete game at this point in time. Hoping “the update” (the one in the roadmap) will make it complete. We both wish we had waited to play, the amount of bugs and incomplete content were incredibly frustrating but we want to love the game because there’s so much potential.
Yeah, ikr?? There’s this YouTuber that I follow and Coral Island was one of the cozy games he made a review on with gameplay footage. It caught my eye, so I decided to play the demo version.
The demo version claimed to give me 30 minutes of playtime, but I was given way less time to play than that (I was given like 15 minutes to play the demo). But nonetheless, I REALLY enjoyed the demo version. Made me wanna play the full version, but people said to wait on the update.
Haha so here I am, waiting for the update that will make the game better with full content (from the sounds of it).
It would suck to purchase an unfinished game for the price it displayed on the xbox marketplace/Microsoft Store.
There is a good amount of content available but I purposely stay away from early access games because I don’t like waiting for the “full story.” I would guess coral probably has maybe 70% of the content complete. The biggest problem I have with it are some of the gamebreaking bugs. The game is not full release if files are inexplicably deleted and all progress lost.
If save files (that record your progress in the game) get deleted for no reason, forcing you to start a new game, then that is a game breaking bug 😰
I’ve actually been playing a game (still in beta phase), and it doesn’t have a bug like that. This game is called Palia and the only bugs I encountered was really animals glitching away when you hit them with an arrow (and they still live), but that got patched for the most part.
There’s also a bug where when you water your crops, you sometimes see the frames freeze until (what you’re watering) is fully watered. A temporary fix to that though is closing the game and re-opening it.
Palia is an MMO game though, so it makes sense it would have quite a few bugs due to how massive of a game it is.
I would wait before starting it now on Xbox.
