I'm around the halfway mark in the deep sea but I can't get through to the next bit. The orbs have cleared away the thorny barrier however the roots aren't retreating. Is this as far as we can go now or is my game bugged?

This guide might help you out! In the deep sea you sometimes have to go all the way out and around to clear an area.

Yeah I'm trying to go to the purple bit which only has 1 way in but it's not retreating 🥲

Then you might be missing a beacon elsewhere

Or, you may need to exit the game and reload

sometimes you gotta get all the way up in there, move as far forward into them as you can

There was spiky barrier there then it went with the last orb, but the retreating roots won't move

Did you get the other orb near the cave? There are 3 that you need to backtrack too. The best thing to do would be to start at the beginning of the gold section and follow the map in the guide Michelle link you to.

This is what I'm saying, the actual spiky roots that block the way went, but the retreatable roots aren't moving. So I've unlocked everything because the first barrier moved.
