I was just wondering this - I've been trying for one of each quality in a new file and noticed an inability to get more than 2 of each legendary per season. Maybe RNG just hates me but I caught 2 of one species in a single day, then kept fishing for a couple days after and didn't get another of that species even on the line. I can catch 2 more the next season (for the ones available in more than one season, the others I just waited a year)

😦 At least that file is progressing nicely - Currently have all normal and bronze and only need Red King for silver

Has this happened with the legendary insect too? Like blue morpho, crowned hairstreak and tarantula?

No, I've been using traps and can get multiple in a single day, multiple times a season. Honestly hope we get an equivalent to traps for fishing, they are so nice.

Mostly the same quality. Not sure what increases the quality for insects yet, so on that file I have literally only donated enough to the Godess to unlock the ability to warp and then only did ocean. So I've mainly been catching normal quality insects, with just enough bronze showing up to have managed to get one of each by summer year 3 (focusing on fishing for now because I know the ocean will increase fish quality)

Once the ocean is done, I will attempt to increase Heritage by one rank and see if that improves the quality of insects I catch

I see, all I have to do is place traps as many as possible in certain area is the only way to catch them?

Theoretically you can find/catch them with the net, especially if you are fully upgraded and have a computer to tell you if they are present. But it is so much easier to build like, 20 traps and set them out with their Scent they day before the one you can catch them, you'll usually roll multiple in the trap. (so like, if tomorrow is Windy and you want the Blue Morpho, then you should bait the traps today)
