Hello 👋
I'm wondering what's the best method to gets money in the game.

I been harvesting, catching, and getting purple kelp in the sea. I average around 10k to 20k.

Is there a better method?

what i did was get the bug/fish with the highest selling price when put it in the Fish pond/Insect house get up where they are at 10 then sell 5, and keep doing that

Personally, a mix of ranching and farming will get me a lot. So the main issue I keep running into is having the money but not the materials.

I use farming and artisan equipments to get to 20 mil per season. Now that i have 100+ mil i just plant the most profitable ones per season then put it in the bee house and keg to be processed, and after that I put the processed products to the Aging Barrel. I have 3 sheds full of aging barrel so i can profit a lot per season and they are just low maintenance. It take 4-6 days to process 1 product so i dont recommend doing daily profits anymore 🙂

Try to turn your crops into artisan products as soon as possible. I think the first you get is the bee hive. Get as many as you can. Than the same with the Mason jar. Get as many as you can and put everything in. Otherwise collect all the stuff you find laying about and sell. And look out for the hot spring. Once you have it you can easily get your stamina back. That way you can have many more crops

take it easy first. You can get the blueprint of Aging Barrel when you reach lvl 10 in farming. If you have unlocked the Keg, put a fruit or vegetable to get juice. If you still haven't got the Keg, try the Mason Jar, put a fruit to get jam, put a vegetable to get pickles. Mason Jar is the easiest to make but keg products are more profitable.

Try to get to lvl 10 farming by watering, tilting the soil, and harvesting. Harvesting gives the most exp especially if its your first harvest of the crop it gives 25 pts, the exp of the next harvest would give exp depending on the item's price multiplied by 0.075. example, bronze quality potato sell for 86 coins x 0.075 = 6.45 pts of exp. imagine if you have 100 of those bronze quality potatoes? you'll get 645 pts of exp 🙂 anyways, try planting 1-5 of every crop per season then plant the most profitable in large numbers. I got to lvl 10 farming in year 1 fall 🙂 you can also do it, just take your time 😄

After planting the crops you can try selling Osmium Ore and Osmium Kelp, they sell for 150 coins. But its not a good idea to sell them all because you need osmium kelp and osmium bar in making the Aging Barrel 😅

Btw, my set up for my post above is 1,280 crops, 3 sheds full of Aging Barrel (not automated due to some bug) and 6 sheds for interchangeable automated keg and bee house (depends on the season). It took me 1 year to assemble everything but its totally worth it 😁 but now, I don't have anything to do with the money 🥲

one fast money maker i haven’t seen mentioned is coffee. i filled my greenhouse with it and make 25k/day off aged coffee. it regrows every two days and processes faster than everything else (only 2 days in the aging barrel). it’s great for that early-mid game stage when you don’t have a lot of money yet and are trying to unlock everything at the lab

# mortal river That isn’t terribly fast since it takes a full year to get the greenhouse

yeah, it depends on where you are in the game, that’s why i said it’s more for that early-mid game stage when you need a lot of money to unlock things at the lab but haven’t had time to build out wine and mead operations. i’m just putting it out there bc within about two weeks of getting my greenhouse i was making 10k daily off aged coffee while still building out my production lines for it, and it’s pretty passive once you get autochests

I wouldn't hoard until you get barrels. Barrels are slow, and somewhat resource intensive to build. I'd just sell the best product you can make at the moment. Meaning - I'd sell juice now, rather than wait for wine later.

For one thing, it's nice to have money to buy resources to make barrels...

Around the middle of the seasons go run around and collect all the coconuts on the island and keep a few then sell the rest. I got 80 in summer and made 3,800 from just selling them.

@violet acorn Yeah thats good I was just suggesting it since its a big boost for a days worth of work and theres not much you use the coconuts for yet that i have found.

Get multiple insect nests and fish ponds put blue morpho butter flies and legendary fish i.e. great white hammerhead and let them reproduce and then go sell them in person they go for 2100 a pop and every 4 days they reproduce . Get everything to osmium such as your hay and seeds definitley helps and do what everyone else has stated even if you start small with an insect pond that works too chubs reproduce every two days. I am sitting at 500k right now
