#how many trees and or seeds should I save for my farm?

i do 4 pine and 2 of everything else. the maple syrup and nutty sap really aren't used for anything
I only saved pine seeds. There are more useful seeds later on. Each of my sheds has 7 trees planted next to it. Most of them are tapped for resin.
Maple syrup and resin are the most beneficial to me. Maple syrup sells for 200+ while resin is needed in building an aging barrel. Sell the Maple syrup, keep the resin. It really depends on you on how many you want to keep, you can just plant the seeds anytime you need it.
depends on how much you like trees, you’ll def want to tap the pine trees for resin and the maple trees are nice for a passive income esp in the earlier game. i like having a lot of trees on my farm so i planted a bunch and moved them around when i got the architect desk. i’d say 2-4 pine trees for a steady supply of resin, and however many maple trees you want for that passive income, maybe a couple oak trees in case nutty sap becomes useful at some point
I do 5 of each tree and space them out in a huge square. Put tappers on all of them and wait till all of them produce that way they all sync up. I keep the resin and sell the rest it helps a little
Tree seeds are super easy to find, just go chop down wild trees if you ever run out
