Does anyone else not get Mushrooms from the Mushrooms log?

Okay I had no idea you had to put something into the log and have been wondering the same thing.

I have a mushroom in it, have for an in-game month, and it is telling me it's ready to be collected but just gives me the message of "they will grow over time"

i thought the same thing, so i waited for 2 whole seasons and then i realized i had to put mushrooms in if that makes u feel better @viscid fern

My question now is, does it only produce one? I put one in and took the one out that was ready. If so I don't understand the purpose if it's going to give me my one back

It should do what the replicator does- 1 in 2 out

I'll add another one in and see if it gives the 2 this time around

It's only going to process one at a time but if you put one in- the number on the machine should immediately say 2
