i wanted to report it as a bug but was unsure if it is one: i'm in fall year 2 and still needed a bug that only comes out in the rain but it only rained for ONE day the entire season and i used that to fish. now i need to wait another whole year for the last insect i need. has anyone else encountered the "no rain" issue?

weather is currently purely RNG so it's always down to a matter of luck unless you're willing to spend time rerolling your weather. not a bug per say but probably something worthy to feedback on, hopefully there'll be a way to guarantee weather somehow in the future!
otherwise, i've been relying on a horde of armed traps the day before for the bugs i need, and that leaves me time to fish on the actual day!

i've been seeing a lot of people on reddit saying they also have no rain. but if it's not a bug that's even worse because that might mean that they'll keep it this way.
do bug traps catch bugs even if it isn't the right weather for them? i've had some up the day it rained but unfortunately it didn't catch the one i needed.

which is why feedback is important! #🤝coral-feedback very likely that it isn't a bug, reddit posts probably have a skewed sample size since those who were lucky enough to get rain probably wouldn't post about it ;p
and no, bug traps only catch bugs according to season as well. most of the time you can not arm them with scents and they'll still sporadically trap bugs, but I've noticed that for the rarer ones and especially the weather-specific ones, it's necessary to arm the traps with scents the day before!

I needed one spring bug and it didn’t rain one day in spring. But now in summer and I’ve had 3 and I’m only half way through the season.

i had 2 days of rain in spring year 2, and i had noticed that in year 1 it was very rare for it to rain during fall. it definitely needs to be edited, or maybe even add something like SDV's rain totem so we can force rain to get our stuff
