My catching is maxed, i used all my points so all the boosts are chosen. I used the scent but still can't catch the spicebush swallowtail butterfly or the Yucca Moth. Anyone else able to catch them? I have a golden net

Watch its path. Get in front of it. Do NOT move. Let it come to you. You have a small window. If I can do it with a basic net, golden net should be easy with this. But again from the front and let it come to you

I was a year and a half into the game before I realized by holding in the net button I could sneak up better on bugs. Hopefully you realized this sooner. Whenever I need a certain bug I place several traps in that area and bait them and that usually helps. The bait guarantees that you will catch a bug overnight and if you place enough hopefully you will get the bug you need.

I also found that, if you fail to catch a bug, and come back a little after, it is often there again. That's how I finally caught one of those very skittish bugs.

The ones I couldn't catch I'd use traps and attach the scent onto the traps.
