I was excited to finally continue with the 15th of fall on my first year after I saw there was an Xbox hot fix regarding the festival. I crashed twice, once after putting the whole days effort into freeing the Wind Giant and to floor 20 of the Fire shaft. I crashed immediately after trying to enter the festival. I gave it another courtesy try, this time I just waited at the entrance to the festival without making any extra effort to grind in case I crashed again. I successfully entered the festival, got 3rd place in pumpkin smashing, and after winning 1st in apple bobbing I was met with yet another crash. This is honestly so disappointing, I feel like I have to skip this festival at this point if I wanna make any progression.

im in the same boat. didnt participate first year and was excited to enter the 2nd year. went to go look at rewards for the main event and the game crashed on me

Avoid the apple bobbing and checking the crop competition rewards. If you do that, you should be able to get through it without crashing. That worked for me anyway

Same here. I played it through gamepass and then switched to steam since I heard it was fixed there(will update on this once I reach there as I need to restart)? But yeah it crashed everytime I planned on setting the display and somehow it crashes quickly once I got it and tried to start the event. It repeated consistently about 5-6 times.

i think it’s so broken that i have to avoid implemented features in order to make the game playable. perhaps the minigames should be temporarily suspended until they can locate the root of the issue.

Same here... Every time I try to check the rewards after the main event or try to get my stuff back it crashed :C

I also am having this issue. When I go to get the rewards after the main event in the harvest festival, the game crashes.

I had a similar instance. I'd read not to collect reward for harvest festival so I was so excited when I finally did it due to hearing it was fixed and won. However, I was afraid of crashing so I did like every year and just left without collecting so it would be sent in mail. However, the next day it was never sent. I lost all the items I presented and never got the prize for finally winning. I did love the cutscenes for winning though. So much better then all the years I lost to baluga bay. 😀

Same here, on PC Game Pass. Completed the harvest festival, won, and when i tried to claim my rewards it froze and then crashed.

So, while I don't really want to contribute to this ongoing issue since it seems to be starting back at least as far as a couple months ago (as far as the commentary on Steam is concerned), I am also experiencing the game crashing upon starting the Harvest Festival and checking the opponent's vegetable stand. Whether I check them before or after I put in my own stuff it still crashes. I don't think it matters what you do in the game leading up to the festival, but the consensus seems to be that checking the vegetable stands to begin the competition seems to be causing some sort of issue.

My game has crashed twice now, and I will be taking a break. I think what upsets me the most is that I've purchased and upgraded backpack after finally saving enough gold for it and I can't keep it because the festival is causing me problems. I think everything else in the festival works except maybe the stand where Karen is located; wasn't able to interact with that at all, and I think my steering was a bit off for the Pumpkin Smashing as well.

I'm on a Windows PC playing through the Xbox game pass if that helps. v1-112

update to anyone who this affects, I did manage to get past the festival when I had a completely full inventory. Luckily I only upgraded my backpack once so this wasn’t too hard, but I can only imagine how annoying it would be if you got more of the upgrades.

basically you can’t receive any new items from the stands into your inventory or you will crash

I want to continue playing but stuck crashed in Harvest Festival three times. I won't to pass this without get any rewards. SAD

apple bobbing crash is still an issue, grinded twice before going to the festival and everything was fine until I won the prizes from apple bobbing, it kicked me out of the game and it really sucks cause the festival looks fun ☹️ on Xbox game pass also, fully updated so idk
