Just starting out, how do you make the scarecrow and the sprinklers fit?

When you're on the 3x3 sprinkler and 5x5 scarecrow it is tricky 🙂. I remember just using lots of scarecrows. It is worth poking around a bit for an early, better scarecrow...

there’s no easy way to fit sprinkler 1 and scarecrow 1. best bet is to set it up however works best for you and then gear up towards sprinkler 2 and scarecrow 2. scarecrow 2 gives you an 11x11 area and sprinkler 2 waters a 5x5 area, so they fit perfectly with each other with an additional row/column for the scarecrow down the middle

3x3 on the makeshift scarecrow matches up to 5x5 on sprinkler 1, you'll want to leave the middle sprinkler out though cause a scarecrow needs to be in the same place.
So 9 makeshift scarecrows and 24 sprinkler 1s work out together
