#Game save deleted, 3+ years, no crash beforehand

Just going on here to tell you that no matter how careful you are in closing a game, Coral Island just deletes saves. I closed out the game with no crashes. Ended the day last night. I opened the game as usual, and the save is completely gone.

With all the bugs, crashes, item deletions, unsaved progress, I guess you just have to expect a broken game to eventually delete all of your progress. If you are reading this, know that while the gameplay is really good, it doesn’t fix a poorly coded game in the backend. The devs should honestly take a good look at what has happened to many, MANY people in the course of the game release, and be ashamed of themselves. It’s one thing to have a bug or two. But it’s an entirely different situation to require the player to expect bugs and crashes in order to enjoy their product.

A message to the devs - before you release a game as “1.0”, make sure it doesn’t crash. Simple as that. When you have multi-platform wide crashes and bugs, you really need to iron those out before releasing a full version of the game, instead of asking players to “just roll with it”. Shame on you guys. Be better. Work hard. Don’t take shortcuts in testing. Find the crashes. Care about your customers.

That said, I’m glad to be done with it. I will recommend that my friends and followers to STAY AWAY from this game. Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley are fantastic games and don’t crash like this. AND THEY SURE AS HELL DON’T DELETE SAVES.

To the current players reading this - Good luck with your game and keep your chin up when these problems affect you. There’s much better ways to spend your time than this.

I’m ready for class action lawsuit for wasting my time totally unfair and ridiculous that they’re charging money for this broken game

#

Then they expect us to figure out every bug and crash like we’re getting paid to identify the problems in this game it’s ridiculous

This game should just be still in early access at this point. It’s unplayable with the amount of crashes bugs and glitches that delete saves or crashes that make it hard to play the game. This game so far isn’t worth the 30 dollars. Sure the game is fun and I’m addicted to it. The game is too broken.

Hi @viral spire. I understand the frustration of losing a save file, and we're genuinely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your patience as we investigate this missing save file issue. I will also forward your report to the devs. Once again, we apologize for this and thank you for your understanding 🙇‍♀️ 🙇‍♀️ 🙇‍♀️

May I ask, are you playing exclusively on Xbox Series S or cross-platform (on Xbox Series S and PC), using the same save file?

I would bet dollars to doughnuts that releasing the game as-is was NOT pushed by the devs. NO dev worth their salt wants to see their game that they worked many countless hours on be offered in such a state. This must be so crushing to them (I know I'd be broken-hearted). I know it's super frustrating, but when a production company pushes the big green GO button before the game is ready, the developers are the ones to suffer and do damage control.
