I have the same issue, the race sadly doesn't even load up, it just freezes the game and then closes it entirely, I'm on xbox pc with the game pass and super hope this can get fixed because everything else in the game has been amazing!

Hi! I'm on Xbox PC, just wanted to let you know that I'm still having this crash issue, but also interestingly enough, I am also unable to leave the festival after I join the pet race! (And there were some other issues with the pet race too.)
