i went to sleep and the game crashed while saving.... i wanted to reload my game but my file is gone. it happend before to my other char but without even playing...... i love this game please can someone help me

So sorry this happened - I’ve lost two games now with over 300 hours combined and it sucks so badly. Ended up posting the same thing a few days ago and here’s what I got:

  • If you’re on PC, I’ve heard this is a helpful walkthrough on getting saves back (but I’m on Xbox so I haven’t tried it myself): https://discord.com/channels/623097219628662784/1179506085703454903

  • If you’re on Xbox, they attempted to push a fix for the issue where the game prompts you to load the previous day after a crash, but it didn’t work for me and I haven’t seen anyone yet say it did for them either. That being said, it’s awful but at least it’s confirmation that they’re aware of the issue and are working on it.

  • Haven’t heard anything about other consoles yet so hopefully somebody else can chime in if you’re on PS.

I’m really hoping the data is still there and it’s a read issue vs deletion issue.
