Yah it's been a rough patch since launch. It really should have been held off as a release. You're not going to find much help here unfortunately. They'll just ask what you were doing at time of crash, what day and season, time of day. There's been a hotfix or 2 but they haven't eliminated the problem. I've just forgotten about the game for now and keep tabs on here, waiting for a concrete fix as the game is liable to crash at several spots in the game.

Yeah, the game's concept is absolutely fantastic, but the execution here has been poor; it's a shame really, because it has so much promise.

I'm on xbox series x. No crashing at the harvest festival, but the game lags out while in the deep ocean, and crashes during the winter trivia mini-game.

@compact dragon I'm on xbox series S. I've been stuck on fall 13, year 2 since before your studio went on holidays (i reported it and we had chatted before but i imagine you answer hundreds so recollection not needed lol) just kinda gave up. Tried it every few days. Then your hotfix came out the other day so I tried it again a few times and it either crashed on save or as I came up the anchor from the ocean. Just tried again and same thing still

In the spirit of seeing if fixes work I haven't chosen to try to change my day or shorten it too much. I deal with 2 barns and 2 coop, harvest probably 100 plants and then I fast travel to the diving pier to go to my last spot, I get enough to complete 3 totem things then I leave, and up the anchor it crashes.

Update: I left the ocean alone altogether and actually made it a few days without a crash. Went back to the ocean and the game crashed as soon as I was going up the anchor. Something fishy (lol) going on in the ocean.

I will do my best to assist you here! Yes, we have received several report regarding crash calling up anchor and we're still investigating the issue. May we ask you a few questions regarding the diving crash?

• Can you tell me your current town rank?
• Can you tell me which ocean area it is when you encounter the crash? And is it always happen in that same area?
• Do you remember how many in-game hours have you spent in the ocean?
• Before going to the ocean, do you remember doing other activities? What are they?

Ocean area - after mermaid kingdom approx 50m
Ocean rank C and I haven't done too much time in the mermaid town, just been doing the totems. Probably 4-6 hours in the ocean
On that specific day I would tend to my 2 coops and 2 barns (16 animals), harvest approx 100 plants, then head to the ocean for the rest of the day.

I decided to try and exclude the ocean and I've made it from fall 13 year 2, to fall 19 with little to no issue now. I went back to the ocean to try again and that's when it crashed (coming up the anchor). So all in all it is better, but the ocean is still giving me grief.

I am on series s, as well. Year one, Autumn. It mostly crashes while trying to use the anchor to leave. It just crashed while I tried to enter the first cave. It also crashed upon trying to enter the mermaid kingdom to blow the shell after clearing the ocean. Almost all crashes I have experienced seem to be diving-related, using the anchor.

Same happened to me twice now, and yes Im playing on PC but w XBOX game pass. ;_;

@stable salmon manually restarting the game after everyday was about the only soft-fix I figured out. I somehow managed to complete the Ocean healing cutscene by doing nothing all day prior to going to blow the horn after 9pm. Sucks, yes, but I got passed and all has been relatively well, but I still restart the game everyday.

Yea, I got the ocean storyline finished, fins and all. Still crashing while using the anchor, though- not every time, but frequently enough to be bothersome. I'm getting crashes on land today, too. I'll try restarting each morning after save and see if it changes anything on series s.
