Where did you try to place it, there's a known bug where it will let you attempt to place it "out of bounds" aka off of the plantable land but then doesn't build it because that area isn't actually available for building

Yeah, sadly. Hopefully they'll fix the issue so that people can't attempt to place it in out of bounds areas anymore
