Changing Platform from Xbox Pass to Steam

Hi! Has anyone ever tried changing their platform from pc xbox game pass to steam? Is it possible to transfer save files?

I've been playing since beta and also been playing at alpha but wanted to move to playing through steam instead. I'm worried though if its possible to keep the save file and play from where i left off if I transfer. Thank you!

you can do it but you shouldn't.

1. it'll probably end up corrupted- some people have lost a tool. some people have just a random some bug
2. it is NOT supported by the team in any way shape or form. if you have issues, you're doomed. the team will not help you

to counter this. there's a post here with EA files so you can have some options for starter funds so even though you're starting over, you'll have starter cash to make up for it

the team will flat out tell you- do it at your own risk but we dont want you doing it

It work for me with this tutorial BUT scroll down the comment until u find someone share about github repository about finding xbox savefile. U just need to run it and the software will find the savefile for u then just copy and paste it.

I think ill make some thread about that but i still test it playing for some days

• ur will get same unlocked achivement
• u will suddenly get tons of quest because gamepass version kinda outdated

This is tool i used to copy my savefile. I think some people cant transfer it because they copy the wrong file

hello! i read the reddit thread and i was thinking of helping my gf transfer from game pass to steam. just a bit confused how do u backup the game pass files? are u connecting the console to an external hard drive or to a pc? or does u go to an xbox website and log into the acc associated with the game?
