everytime i try to catch a black/red bug at night time the game crashes, could be the widow spider as it looks like it on the floor but unsure, i've gone to catch this black/red bug at night and every time it'll freeze just as i swing the net to catch it, then game closes itself and it comes up with a window saying:

This was happening to me too with the widow. Make big traps and put them in the areas they are supposed to spawn. That’s how I caught one.

There seems to be a bug for at least some players on PC Game Pass where All spiders (presumably as they look like spiders but we dont catch them so hard to confirm) are always causing a crash at the moment of capture.
I've personally had this happen with 3 different looking spiders. Black/red (widow?), Brown (tarantula?), and a green one in the day (i assume the green jumping spider others mention a lot)
Ive found a few people mention this in the bugs/crash reports, even so far as a month ago, but no confirmation that its a "known bug" from the team in any way. It would be nice to know the awareness status on this one.
I have located a comment from a dev from 2 days ago saying this is currently being worked on
