How much land are you tilling on your farm? And around the town (those clovers). And watering plots of land by hand?

I use sprinklers, but is watering by hand better? I till the clovers but I use the same tilled spots for my crops

This sounds simple, but requires effort. Ship a lot of quality crops gains exp faster. Upgrade seed crops and tree plant to at least above silver, have about 12 5x5 or 6 11x11 scarecrows then plant crops that yields constantly. Pricier seeds also gives quite amount of exp like melon and pineapple etc.

Eat your produce to produce more. I got farming 10 by summer because I would eat flowers til I had enough beets to supplement me. Increase field by sprinklers, but keep expanding. At the end of summer I had 1366 plots.
Watering seeds (or plants), Tilling, and harvesting all produce results. Use scythe rather than picking by hand to speed it up. I would go around town early and pick up seeds to plant more, sell my product and buy sugar or eat flowers for stamina bonuses.
