Question: How much of diving is currently implemented?
Reason: I cannot progress with third diving area. I cleared 2 or 3 initial shrines and I am cut off by black goo roots. Now, I am not sure whether this is a bug in 1.x.x version of the game or is it not implemented beyond this point.

I had just focused on activating all of the nodes and got through with ease. A cut scene triggered moving the black vines along too so I don't know if you got there yet and don't want to spoil with further details
