So it’s coming evening in the fall time and I keep hearing some disturbing noises that sound like a ghost or someone suffering / screaming trying to escape … is there any way to mute this noise or fix it so I don’t hear it?

I think it's intentional. You will see a cutscene with a ghost at some point. But I don't know if the two things belong together (I don't play with sound, so never heard the sound but read about it here in discord)

Does it sound like a roar that happens around the farm and forest by evening time?
If you managed to unlock the dig site / deep forest, you might piece the mystery together. Maybe... but, not sure if its coming from that. Just a thought.
