#Missing Tools. Planning to switch to Steam from XBOX GP

I've been playing this game since a few month back then from XBOX GP and really enjoy this game. When I reached the winter festival all my tools disappear, especially my scythe, axe, bug net and fishing rod (my pickaxe is being upgraded at The Blacksmith) oh and my big hammer is lost too. I am waiting every single day back and forth return to Blacksmith, checking if my missing tools can be retrieve (the retrieve options is already pop up but when I clicked it doesn't change anything, my tools still missing and the pop up is still there).

I am really tired waiting for my tools to comeback, but I also regret it if I had to start over and lose all the progress that I've been achieved. Luwak_Sad_Emoji

I am planning to switch to Steam if I have to start over because it has a newer version than The XBOX one.
But is it worth it to switch to Steam? Because I don't want to spend more money if it has the same problem or issues. I need clear recommendation from Steam user if I should or shouldn't buy it

The same happened to me, after going to the winter festival on year 1, all the items in my inventory are gone missing, including all my tools and i don't know how to get them back.

Hey all. Just wanted to update you about the tools missing in the Matching Pattern Mini Game at the Winter Fair. Unfortunately, we can't recover them, which is a bummer. You'll have to start a new game to get all your tools back. In other note, we've already made and submitted a fix – it's just waiting to roll out. can u in anyway get new tools? cheats? detskop commands, mods? or can dev fix the problem and uppdate the game and after i update the game i get my stuff back??
dont want to start a new game. play soo long time now.

This is really bad news, so all the time invested and all is just simply lost? Isn't there a way to recover a previous save of the game? Not gonna lie, I was enjoying the game a lot but if all the progress I've made: clear the caves, clear the ocean, upgraded all the tools, cleared the farm, all the items donated to the museum, and so much more is simply lost it'll be better just to stop playing this game...

Same here, I went to both Blacksmith’s and Beach Shack’s and retrieved missing items. All my tools were with me when they disappeared and I was able to save only my fishing pole and pickaxe. I hope that AT LEAST we can buy the tools again when they go missing in the future.

Okay so, if you guys are playing on XBOX Game Pass, I did this: #1179506085703454903 message and got to load an older save, which put me back a couple of game days but is better than restarting the game! Please give it a try, I hope it works for you!

I just tried this, and unfortunately, the only save that I could find was the latest one 🥺

Hey everyone. After we discussed it, we decided that we're going to investigate more about retrieving your missing tools. We will notify all of you if there's any news from our teams!

If you want to continue playing now, unfortunately, the only way is to start a new game. But don't worry, because the new game won't replace the old save game. The good news is we already fixed the matching pattern minigame, so if you play again you won't lose your tools. Once again, we're really sorry about this. Thanks! 🙇‍♀️
