Devs are on holiday until Jan. It's 100x better in terms of crashes than it was (couldn't finish a day most of the time).
Try not talking to anyone at the events - on the day just do your chores, go and do the mini games and then leave.
Only way I could do the beach cleanup event.

I think I came across a bug during the Harvest Festival?
It force closes the game entirely.
When trying to submit crops for the Festival and view rewards for the event, the game crashes/force closes. I tried this twice.
1st time: view rewards. Tried to click submit crops, didn't load and crashed.
2nd time: did the reverse. Submitted crops successfully. Then tried to view rewards. Couldn't. Game crashed.
Unsure if certain items I have for the Harvest Festival are causing the crash.

I've now had the Harvest Festival crash 2 separate times at the main event section. Personally, this entire festival should just be patched out until it's completely fixed and actually working as it's clearly a problem for many. I'm playing on Series X with Game Pass. Below is the details of each crash.
For both times I did my day as normal, started the event at 7pm sharp. I talked to all NPC's first, then I submitted my crops on the stand. After this I bought supplies from the shop and then played the apple bobbing mini-game and then the pumpkin smash mini-game. I did this in this order for both playthroughs. This is where they deviate.
On the first hard crash to the Xbox dash, I walked up to the main event stand to change something I submitted and as soon as I hit A it crashed.
On the second hard crash I was able to start the main event, the judging occurred and when I clicked the stand and hit A to claim the prizes it hard crashed again.
I'm going to be skipping this event from here on out until it's patched as I'm not repeating this day for a fourth time if it crashes again. Other than these frustrating crashes, the game has been a lot of fun. Just needs more polish on the little stuff like NPC graphics going missing on the map often and spelling mistakes here and there.

I basically did everything but the final main event (which sucks to miss out on a part), bought stuff from the store and left the event and got lucky with it not crashing again.
