Out of curiosity, are you going to recover the deleted save files when you're back in the office? Because this is the second time it's happened to me now and with more donations than I can remember, full barns and coops, fully automated systems etc... this is really impacting my decision to actually buy the game instead of just going through Game Pass. It's a game breaking bug that can't be fixed by simply resetting the game on our end and shouldn't even be an issue in the first place.

@sudden panther please let me know when this is fixed as not starting again to run into this one or I will quit after over 70 hours in to have save wiped such good game best farming game in the last years that came out but covered in bugs fix the game plz

This happened to me back in November as well. I reported it to Xbox/Microsoft, the developers and there was a third that now is escaping me :/, but I never received a response or the retrieval of my save file 😢. Though perhaps if it is a more widely reported issue now, I hope maybe that has changed and you get your file back 🤞🍀.

@swift lichen This has happened to me (roughly 3 times, where data was deleted, and about 7 more times where I was able to recover the game save and am still currently able to play on it). The steps I took were this: When the game crashes while saving, and returns you to the Xbox home screen, immediately go to My Games and uninstall Coral Island. Once it is uninstalled, immediately restart the Xbox. Once the Xbox is restarted, go to GamePass and re-install the game. Once the game is re-installed you should be able to continue playthrough on your save--albeit with the loss of one day (the day you were on when the game crashed). While that's not ideal, it is a way around the issue until it receives a proper fix, sometime in the new year.

@untold vapor I've tried all to get my save back nothing worked for me so I'll just wait the game to be fix at this point as I've been though all the bugs and I'm done ill just put the game down till its fully fixed if ever

I completely understand that! My first lost save game, was about 50 hours of gameplay, and I didn't know any of the tips to get it back, so I just started over. Then that game save was deleted about 3 in-game months into playing, and I started searching for an answer and found a couple tips from fellow gamers on here that led me to this process that seems to be working so far, as my current save game is about 65 hours into it and it has crashed while saving a bunch, but has been able to continue playing by using the above mentioned method. Although, I've never been brave enough to check that the game save had actually been deleted the last few times it has happened, as I'm afraid that if I open the game to check, Xbox cloud will attempt to synch with the system and then if it is corrupted/deleted, I'm SOL.

@untold vapor it was my first game and I was in winter of first year but played on 50 percent speed lot time fishing and more must been 50 to 60 hours game I had all lost after many bugs befor losing time to crashes yea after the save lose I'm done with the game till it get fixed if it ever does they know all the problems try to fix just to make more this was final one for me if could take my payment back I would at this point they should never of released this on xbox
