Just did the winter festival and after one of the mini games my entire inventory (tools included) disappeared. Is there any way to get them back and/or restart the day or access the save file from the start if the day?

Unfortunately my partner had hoped that starting the next day would perhaps make the tools show up, which it did not. This also saved the game with a state of having no tools.
