The game is constantly crashing when saving. This is really annoying having to re do all the things.
I’ve noticed that sometimes the game crashes when saving on a day and crashes again and again on the same date. Skipping the date seems to solve the problem only to reoccur a few in game days later.

  • Can you please describe your in-game day activities in details before the crash occurred?
  • Can you tell us your game speed setting?
  • How long have you played the game that day before this issue occurred (in real time)?
  • Can you tell us your in-game day, season, and year when this issue occurred?

Hello @outer anchor ! Thank you for responding.
Here are the relevant details:

  1. Lots of farming, some diving / mining. It was slightly different each time, but seemed to occur on particular days of the week i.e Tuesday and Wednesday
  2. Game time speed setting at 50% but crash has also occurred at 100% speed.
  3. In real time, about 30 mins at max. Game was constantly crashing for that in-game day so had to play again and again. In-game time hours were varying, but always occurred when we went to go to sleep to save the game, whether it was at 10 am or at 7 pm.
    Also, this is the second time we are playing from start as the first game save file was lost when in year two around Fall/Winter. This save file was played fully at 100% game time speed.
    The current save file is at Year 2, Summer around Day 11-12 before the Pet/Animal festival when the crashes occurred. This save file was played at mostly 50% game time speed with some days having 100% game time speed to speed things ups for certain events.

This game should be subtitled "Groundhog Day". It doesn't matter what you do or don't do. I've had it crash on save after a day of waking, pet the dog, go to bed. It is a pain in the backside and quite a bit of uncomplimentary thoughts about the devs to get the save to move on, but I've done it. Here's the rub, I only play to relax. When a game is acting up this much, it is not relaxing. It won't take long to give up. Oh, it isn't just on Xbox S. The game crashes on save on every platform...check out Reddit.

I can't get past winter 9, it crashes when I try to save at the end of the day.
I've played the day 3 times now and everytime it crashes.
Is my save corrupted? Do I have to start over? I've made so much progress.
I'm also on PC. Steam.

I have recovered my saved file by uninstalling, then reboot, then reinstalling. A few times I've had to dig deeper, but so far the saved file is retrievable. Luckily I'm old enough to know how to use command line. Oh...my game speed is at 50.

Still crashes on save. It intensified after I used automatic harvest attachments and automatic chests, but it's not regular (can't make a cohesive repro). PC from Xbox pass, 1 or 2 days after animal festival.
Tried to repro after removing auto harvesters from sprinklers (regular and sfh) and I was able to save 4 or 5 days in a row (after that I stopped playing, no crash). So the auto harvesting could have been the reason for crash.

I’ve been playing on my Xbox One through GamePass Cloud and my issue mirrors the above- no rhyme or reason for a reset/booted out - normally just day to day maintenance on the farm and usually by a 3rd day, at the ‘Saving Game’ screen (after seeing what sold, relationship improvements, etc) I’ll simply be booted out saying the game unexpectedly closed.

Game crashed 3 times here. Im playing on pc gamepass and havent this problem until 24th winter.. then i keep crashing when trying to save.. the only new thing that i can think about is the automated chest.

Have the same problem (also playing pc game pass, game speed 90 percent), really quite loved the game but it keeps crashing while saving, the last crash was simply going into the fire mine and getting a game freeze while using the elevator. I am in year 2 spring first week, i have automated chests on my farm and have more crashes since i have the biggets backpack ( i dont know if it is related). I am not sure what to do, and am quite fed up always having to redo my days. Will there be an update for gamepass fixxing this problem in the near future? Until then I may look for another farming game filling the void 🥲 activities on chrash days: mining, taking care of the animals, some foraging in the deep woods, harvesting some trees, building a beehouse and automated chests.
