I just played for two weeks straight and am in love with the this game. Was walking into my house when my save crashed. I restarted my Xbox and came back to my game file being gone. I’m so crushed about this. The save was replaced with a save that when loaded, shows the first cutscene of the game. Is this gonna be remedied?

@modest plaza I wouldn't get your hopes up as I have lost my main save about 1 week ago. Cause xbox save via cloud its as gd as gone. It is heart breaking and I fully understand that feeling.

I was able to get it back by forcing the game to crash opening my new untouched save, then hitting the option to restore save from the previous day.

Since my other save was then deemed the backup save, it worked somehow

Wow nice work i should of thought of that. My save was just gone gone no file to load in so i had to start again. But nice work on getting ur save bak

How did you force it to crash?! Like, shut down the xbox in the middle of opening it? I'd like to try your trick to get back my save file

Right after selecting load the new file, I closed it down right in the middle and did that until it crashed repeatedly and gave the option to load the backup save ‘from the previous save’ ie my real save

Thank you so much for this kind and thoughtful response. I was able to get my save back by forcing the game to crash loading the intro stage save that replaced my file. I selected the option to load the backup save from the previous day and it worked. I also uninstalled and reinstalled before doing this to find the intro stage save still where my old save once was, and that is when I was able to get it back. Just thought you’d want to know. I love this game so much.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TIP I was honestly about to cry when I saw my file had been erased! Much as I would't mind having to romance Pablo all over again but I didn't relish the idea of losing my museum collection or my ocean progress so thank you! ❤️

For real can we fix this issue? It just did it again and I can't recover the save. 🙃 Year 3 Summer with nearly 300 donations

They haven't fixed this for months, if there was a way, I would report the company to Microsoft, there is no point in releasing the game in this state
