#Xbox always crashes

I have notice a few factors that seem to make these happen on Xbox. 1. leaving blacksmith after opening coffers, 2. all but planting festival - leaving event 3. Ocean events and teleporting to or from farm directly through pier. 4. After any cutscene.
This game is a broken piece of garbage on Xbox just uninstall and wait until the devs decide they want to fix it next year
I have it on PC (so i can still play there :)), so i have the perfect opportunity to supply logs and data for them. Ports are ruff, and i would rather support the Dev team.
They know what’s wrong, they just don’t know how to fix it lol
it just crashed after the cherry blossom festival ended and i was back at my farm
Yeah, have had that as well. Unfortunately the crash is so violent that Xbox can’t register to create a crash report.

anything like this happening with a game that people backed on something like kickstarter is shameful imo, especially if the responses aren't helpful
I get what ya mean. Played the game since beta on PC. Other then the platform, the only other difference is PlayEverywhere is involved. And maybe unreal engine was used. But without logs to see what happened.. makes it difficult to figure out. Right now is the holidays to boot. Hopefully if i can trigger logs and find out if/how i can get them to the dev team that gives somewhere to start. Other then “its not working”.
tbh kinda glad I'm not a backer, I'd be way more pissed
I'm scared of that thing happening where it crashed during saving and the data is gone, and I'm only in spring year 1
Yeah true! Have lost a day of toodling about. Which is still frustrating as all get out!

I totally understand. I am seeing what i can do to provide helpful stuff for the dev team. 😸. Am a bby non-game developer. Soo that helps know what to look for but gotta follow EULA’s and stuff
Ok so additional note, Xbox is not registering the crashes.. at all.. and there is zero way to report anything. This is a critical issue since there is no legal way for me to share that information with ya'll. I tried to use "record what happened" but it is also failing to record. Is there a setting that needs to be enable from your side? My understanding is that any and all crashes ARE investigated by Microsoft team however how can we help MS and you if we can't file these reports? Not sure if this is a StairWay or PlayEveryWhere sourced issue. but this might play a huuuge part in getting what ya'll might need to deal with these issues that are making your game unplayable on xbox

@latent kraken would like to not only say "thank you so very very much" but also confirm the following scenarios are nto crashing: Teleport from ocean to farm , farm to ocean, ocean temple to farm and back, exit of carpenter, exit of mueseam, entry /exit and reentry to chest and/or menu in rapid succession, entry/exit rapidly into artisan or chest objects, Mine H2O entry/exit, ocean entry/exit from staying out to late: These are working as expected!! Haven't hit a major cutscene yet but when i do will update here 🙂 Again thank you so very much.
xbox says the latest update was November 14th, nothing to update since i use cloud gaming. does that mean the update hasn't been implemented yet?
gonna test and see if it still crashes for me anyway, but I'm starting to think the problem for me is cloud gaming specifically, which idk if there's a solution to that short of buying a series x/s, which i couldn't like afford for a looooong time sadly
Well this is not 100% resolved @latent kraken after unlocking the || mermaid kingdom, talking to the oracle and princess, then cleaning out that first area. the game suddenly crashed. Could be due to long play time 2 hours. Was getting th Getting late message and a relic was going off. I hate the exit diving got a black screen then crash, no reporting option available , interesting to note that i didn't entirely loose quest information. just seems to have reverted to "find a way to open the gate" , Farm progression (harvestable, and Silo initiation were lost) alter progress (pumpkin and season unlock were lost as well) , also the harvest festival was trying to trigger for the next day. So that could have been a overload of sorts. the ocean quest updated, but i did loose the last two "cleaners" activation on the ocean floor, in front of the main door. I cycled the day without the ocean quest and the harvest festival crashes on the apple bobbing mini game, which isn't registering the A button properly takes two inputs to trigger. ||
Hey , mine didn't say there was an update either. and the build version didn't change. it could be a "internal" push kind of thing. Took me 2 hours + to get a crash.. but to be honest i was pretty rough with the game to test a pretty decent amount of the common "ka-booms"
It's the same build but the newer version of it does not crash for normal use it only crashes for festival and ocean rank c
i haven't crashed yet, but i didn't play continuously today

Hi Dinda, sorry for the late ping. The hotfix does help a decent amount, i deleted the OG file and created a new one. the ||merfolk sequence the 3 cutscenses , get to castle, meet the king, and the princess giving the stam fruit causes a exit sudden crash, if one triggers the two alters before without saveing. Something else i found is that the favorites from OG save carried over (not expected behavior me thinks) also the sell values came over as well. I can't say if that is something due to the 1st year part. the first festivals were fine up to the cherry blossom festival.. after that they all fail on entry with a sudden unloggable crash. I also would like to note that after abou 2.5 to 3 hours of game play the game suddenly runs into seemingly random sudden crashes, weather it is a sleep/save, teleport out of ocean to land. A different observation is that at noon (12pm, 4 pm and 6pm) while in ocean or land the game stutters, although it hasn't crashed if you are in the middle of an action it essentially is canceled. Sorry for the spoiler tag but just in case don't want to spoil the game for others. If you need me to create a new ticket/thread let me know 🙂 ||
Hi Rosenrot87, This was a hotfix and the build version is the same, so since the name is litterally the same xbox won't state a new "version" came out. but it was pushed to the consoles. Hope that helps! basically if the previous version was build 1.8.4.6 and a release is pushed with 1.8.4.6 as the verision number most systems/computers won't think it is new. But in this example if the name was 1.8.4.6.0 that would be considered a "new version". More often then not a new build with +1 the last number of the sequence, just depends on the development cycle/team/process.
